Hey Guys

Been a long time.....

Wanted to rack your branis

Just redoing me site and I've hit upon a couple of problems

First off I've created some tables to insert text and pictures
When i collaspe the tables and check it in IE it seem fine, I cant see the tables but when I check in Firefox they seem to be there

Any suggestions?

Also I want to add a shopping cart to my site but am quite stumped as how to go about this
I kind of know that Paypal do some stuff but I'm not sure how to go about it

Again any suggestions would be excellent

Cheers Fellas

Sam

I'm not so sure why the tables are showing up in firefox and not ie and will have to see the code and check it myself to work it out.

My site has tables and i can't see them in either safari, firefox or ie when i tested it, try browsing my site and tell me if you can see any in your browsers and if not then send me your code and i will have a compare to what i used or alternatively download my pages and compare them yourself.

As for shopping carts it can be quite easy to do if you use something like the software listed below and you can install it on your server and edit the pages to look how you want them to.

http://www.cubecart.com/

http://oscommerce.com/

http://www.zen-cart.com/

Just have a look at those and decide which one suites your needs best, there are plenty more out there but those 3 are free.

Also if you have fantastico on your c-panel you may find some free opensource shopping carts that can be installed with a few simple clicks

If you want any help mate just ask and i will have a mess around with your pages for you and try and iron out the problems.

Corroder and SP are also quite good at web coding and have helped me on here in the past.

Fixed it mate, some of the code in your page for the tables was set to have border="1" and i just changed them all to border="0" don't know why firefox was the only browser to pick this up but i did notice that you had your border colour set to the same as the background making the 1pt border invisible but for some reason firefox showed it, anyway it's fixed now - http://mezerik.com/My_Stuff/Home-mez-edited.htm

Just needs your images uploading then the square boxes where they are should not be there.

no i never got that issue but it may be a windows thing as i am using a mac, see if any of the others on here get it maybe on their windows machines.

The best way to test it out in my opinion is to upload them and run it live, that way you may not get the activex shit. Sometimes testing locally can be strange.
